The Software Development program focuses on the experiential learning model to prepare students for a wide variety of positions within the computer programming and software development field. Software development professionals are responsible for not only maintaining and securing existing programs and applications and data, but also assessing, recommending, and implementing new software solutions throughout the organization. In completing the B.S. Software Development degree, students will be expected to solve business problems using critical thinking skills, become effective business and technology communicators, obtain proficiency in developing and delivering software solutions, and obtain strong ethical awareness within the context of business.
