This flexible program of study to allow for students to expand their business knowledge whether it be for opening a business or to apply business principles to their field of choice. With this flexible business and professional studies program, you can transfer college-level credit you have earned from other schools and receive more credit for college-level exams (such as CLEP or DANTES exams), military training, and other accredited sources. You do not need to have earned an Associate degree, but if you have completed a degree, these credits will be individually evaluated for application to this B.S. in Business and Professional Studies.
This degree requires classes in three specific areas - Business, General Education, and Professional Studies. The Business coursework includes accounting, law, economics, financial management, marketing, human resources, management practice, strategy, and international business. The Professional Studies credits can be dedicated to one or more areas of study found in or outside the College of Business.
Requirements for Major
All Business and Professional Studies majors must earn an overall 2.0 cumulative grade-point average as well as a 2.0 in their BA prefix courses. Transfer students must complete a minimum of 15 credit hours in business courses at Husson.
