The Computer Information Systems program focuses on the experiential learning model to prepare students for a wide variety of positions within the Information Technology (IT) field. IT professionals are responsible for not only maintaining and securing existing equipment and data, but also assessing, recommending, and implementing new technology throughout the organization. In completing the B.S. CIS degree, students will be expected to solve business problems using critical thinking skills, demonstrate effective business and technology communicators, become technically proficient in developing and delivering IT solutions, and obtain strong ethical awareness within the context of business.
