The Audio Engineering certificate develops the essential knowledge and skills to prepare graduates for work in the audio, technology, and entertainment industries. Courses include topics in live sound production, music production, and post production.
Candidates for the Audio Engineering Certificate must complete at least seventeen (17) semester credit hours with a minimum 2.0 GPA. BS Audio Engineering Majors are not eligible for this certificate. In order to complete the Audio Engineering Certificate a minimum grade of C+ must be achieved in all courses.
Upon completing the Audio Engineering certificate program students will be able to:
1. Demonstrate knowledge of basic audio theory in an entry-level position.
2. Apply sound and its aesthetic and technical characteristics.
3. Examine and employ audio technology.
