Husson University’s Bachelor of Science in Sport Management blends two distinct fields of study – sport and business administration – to prepare students for careers in this field. The sport management curriculum emphasizes experiential learning through practical assignments integrated into the sport management courses, and Husson students are required to complete at least six credit hours of internship experience with a sport organization.
In achieving the learning outcomes for the B.S. Sport Management, students will:
- Apply the major concepts in the functional areas of business.
- Apply legal and ethical principles in business to organizational decision-making.
- Apply business-related techniques to management decisions.
- Analyze leadership choices in the internship setting.
- Apply professional business communication skills.
- Collaborate with diverse colleagues in team situations.
- Demonstrate general and functional knowledge of sport management principles
In this program of study, students must earn a minimum of 120 credit hours, including required general business and sport management coursework, to prepare for careers in this field. The continued success of our graduates is based upon a solid foundation of business and liberal arts knowledge combined with essential experiential learning activities.
