This certificate in Aquatic Animal Care is designed for students who are interested in developing applied skills in caring for aquatic animals in aquariums, marine rehabilitation centers, or conservation facilities. Students will learn how to apply animal behavior and health principles to the care of animals that live in marine and freshwater environments, with emphasis on safe handling, transport, nutrition, health and disease management, and habitat design for optimal welfare and wellbeing.
