The Animal Services Management Concentration within the Master of Business Administration program provides students with advanced knowledge and skills in business management as applied to the animal care and welfare sector. Designed for students seeking leadership and management roles in animal-related organizations, the concentration builds upon the MBA core curriculum by examining the unique operational, financial, strategic, and regulatory challenges facing animal services enterprises. Students develop knowledge and skills in budgeting, strategic planning, organizational leadership, entrepreneurship, and sustainable business practices while exploring the management of organizations involved in direct and indirect animal care, animal welfare, and related services. The concentration prepares graduates for leadership positions in animal care facilities, shelters and rescue organizations, veterinary and animal health businesses, nonprofit organizations, and other animal-related enterprises, equipping them with the skills needed to operate successful and sustainable organizations.
