AI 101. AI Fundamentals for Everyone. 3 Hours.
This course introduces students to the basic ideas and terms used in artificial intelligence through clear, non-technical language. Topics include machine learning, neural networks, natural language processing, and generative AI. The focus is on helping students recognize what AI systems do, describe how they are used, and identify how they appear in everyday situations.
AI 201. Applied Generative AI Tools and Practices. 3 Hours.
This course develops students’ ability to apply and analyze the use of generative AI tools commonly found in professional environments. Through hands-on work with text, image, video, and other AI systems, students examine how prompts are constructed, how outputs vary based on input, and how results can be evaluated for quality, accuracy, and relevance. Prerequisite(s): AI 101.
AI 401. AI Innovation Studio. 3 Hours.
AI Innovation Studio is a capstone-style course in which students apply advanced, practice-based learning to design and develop AI-supported solutions within their chosen field. Working individually or in small teams, students identify a relevant, real-world problem and build a purposeful solution that leverages artificial intelligence tools and methods. Emphasis is placed not on technical complexity, but on the clarity, feasibility, and appropriateness of the solution in context. Prerequisite(s): AI 101 and AI 201.
